Yes, the right glass makes a difference! Restaurateurs of the world, wake up! If you want your customers to have an excellent experience, provide good glassware. Good glassware improves the entire wine experience, and I for one, would be very cautious about buying a nice wine at a restaurant that doesn't take care of their glasses.
For definitions sake: a nice glass can be "glass" as long as it is proper in size and very clean and polished. Ideally, glassware isn't glass at all, it is crystal. Hand blown crystal is thinner, more brilliant and today's machine blown glassware is pretty affordable.
